I went on the World Race back in September 2014 after I graduated college from Texas A&M University (whoop!).
After returning home I joined a dear friend/former world racer on her grilled cheese foodtruck called SAvery in Austin, TX. Yes we made some killer grilled cheese, but my friend’s heart for her business was to use proceeds from the foodtruck to support organizations that were fighting against modern day slavery. The Lord knew that I needed this type of job during my transition back home and I will forever be thankful for the months that I spent on the Big Purple Truck, Bertha.
In January 2016 I moved to New Braunfels,TX and started a new job with T Bar M Camps & Retreats as the Camp Travis Women’s Director. This was a dream job considering T Bar M is where the Lord captured my heart as a little kid and where He continued to transform me each summer I had the opportunity to go back both as a camper and a summer staffer. I remember praying on the beaches of Costa Rica during month 11 on the World Race for the Lord to open this door…He hears us and sees us and knows us! Watching the Trinity work over these past 4 years as been beyond what I could have imagined, full of His goodness and kindness. This place and these people will always be a part of who I am.
In “full circle” moment fashion, the Lord has provided an opportunity for me to return to the World Race serving as a Team Leader for the 6 month South America World Race Semester starting in January 2020. Though there is sadness in leaving where I have been the past 4 years, I am eager and excited to see what He has in store as He brings me back to the World Race.
“For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
