I leave America in just under a week… WHAT??? I honestly don’t know how I got to this point, but the Lord is good. In this season of preparation, I am reminded of God’s promises and the calling on not only my life, but your life too. I pray that Jesus reveals himself in so many new and crazy ways to you all this year. Guys, the Lord is so good and has such a cool plan for our lives if we just give Him our hearts and let Him do what He wants with it. Look at your life and know that the Lord has a way of using you. Know that this year and this journey I’m on does not mean I am the only one that gets to experience God in miraculous ways. If you want the Lord to reveal Himself to you, pray for it. Don’t put Him in a box. I am ready for the change that will happen this year, but I’m more ready to hear your stories and what happens this year to you and your journey with the Lord. No matter where you are at, you can be used. I think, for me at least, I often tell myself I’m “not in the right spot in my life right now for God to use me,” but that is nothing but a lie that I fall for time after time. God can use you where you are at if you are willing. I encourage you, in this next season of school starting back up and such, to take the change and make a change in your life. Be expectant. Know that the Lord loves you and has something crazy and amazing in store for you, you just have to be willing to get over your insecurities and hurt and let Him heal you and prepare you for whatever He has for your life. Your story is different than mine. Just because I’m going to different countries for nine months does not mean my story is more interesting. I’m expecting change in this season, and I pray that you are too. I am so thankful for all of you, I will miss you all, but I am more excited for what this year has for your life and mine too. Remember the Lord and who He is. Remember what He can do. Your story is just as important as mine is. Don’t let comparison take over and make you feel like you can’t be used just as much where you are at right now. You can’t and won’t be used if you are comparing your story to all of the other ones out there that SOUND better. Give God the chance to show you what He can do, you might be surprised. I look forward to, and will embrace all of the change that this year brings to all of us. See you all so soon!!
