Hey-o!

I am currently in Senga Bay, Malawi. Yep, Malawi for a second month!

The place we are
staying at is pretty amazing. We are inside of a compound sort of thing, only
about 100 feet from the lake. It has sandy beaches and warm weather. We have
BEDS, running water, toilets, showers, and meals prepared for us/we help the
cook. It’s pretty awesome! This month they have us set up to work on a bunch of
projects. First, they want to build a coffee shop above their conference room,
leaving us to plan and implement it. There is also a large boat that needs some
repairs and a motor. Down a little ways from where we are staying they have the
beginnings of a school set up that needs new walls and the inside complete.
They are also odd jobs to be done such as lying plastic on a leaky roof, sewing
pillow cases, curtains, and anything else that needs sewing; random things need
to be dug; and other odd jobs that come up. We are also in the middle of a Muslim
community. The family here is focused on outreach to the community and sharing
Christ’s love with them. That is the hope for all of these projects; to use
them to share Christ’s love and to reach out to help the community. The heart
beat behind this place is inspiring. I could not be more grateful for being
here! Thanks Jesus 🙂
