A lot of laughter, tears, hugs, and fairwells. Such an appropriate day. The day we celebrate our country, I leave it (Many of you have heard me say this) ๐Ÿ™‚
I was pleasantly surprised when I showed up at the airport to find Sherry Mundt there to send me off with prayer and love. She came fully equipped for the holiday!

The flights went well. We were able to fly over two fascinating things. The first was the BP oil spill. You could actually see the flames from the plane.

The second was we flew over the fireworks! There were sooo many! Such an interesting view. I didn’t grab that great of a picture, but you get the idea.
At this very moment we are all sitting in the Fort Lauderdale airport. We all meet up at 4am to take off to the Dominican Republic!
We have TAKEN OVER the Jet Blue area!!

As always, we had another curve ball thrown at us. Rumor has it we will be in Dominican Republic for about a week for more training and Launch. From there, half the teams will stay in DR for the month, while the other half will go to Haiti…and then at the end of the month we will swap.
The theme is to stay flexible. God knows the plan, even if we don’t, so I am just a long for the ride ๐Ÿ™‚
Saying “see you later” to so many of you was really hard, but it will go by so fast. I pray we all keep in close touch.

There are a lot of high emotions right now among my team, so prayer for that would be great.

I love you all so much.

HAPPY 4th! And Happy birthday to my little, Chelsea Brown ๐Ÿ™‚
