MISSION OF HOPE!

That is the name of the ministry we will be working with in
Haiti! 🙂

After much anticipation to find out what we will be doing,
the results are in! We will be located at Grand Goave, an hour and a half
outside of Port-au-Prince, tenting on the BEACH!!!!!! Yes I said it, the beach!
Huge plus side, the beach breeze keeps it cool…thank you Lord!! I am going to
have to get used to being sandy. And because it will be cool continuously with
limited humidity, we don’t have to worry about mosquitoes! As you can tell, I
am pretty pumped. But wait, it gets better! Let me break down for you what I
know so far:

·
We will building/tarping homes, teaching
English, talking to people about Jesus, and working in an orphanage/school

·
We may be doing some plumbing/electrical work
because Craig has background in that!

·
We will be at a compound on the beach that was
destroyed during the earthquake

·
We will be doing a lot of relief work, as well
as joining our contacts church for ministry

·
We will be taking a van up to the mountains to
work 🙂

·
Our contacts name is Rene (The wife of the
pastor of the church, she’s American)

·
NO ELECTRICTY

·
NO INTERNET (I will be able to send our leader
Tommy with blogs to post for me from my understanding, but that’s about it,
there may be exceptions to this, but expect to talk to me next when I arrive in
Europe)

·
Our contacts will be cooking for us! 🙂

·
Pay attention Mom and Hanna…and any other
worry warts: Safety report for Grand Goave: “HIGH SAFETY in ministry location
and campsite

Now you basically know what I know
🙂 I am very excited about this. Having no electricity is going to be tough,
but it is so worth it. God is good. This should be an amazing month of growth
and our eyes being opened wide to the realities of the world outside of the
United States…not just outside of the States, but our next door neighbors.

I love you all! Oh, and my
apologies for lack of pictures being posted. I will have to load all of those
once I get to Europe because internet just really is not that fast.

Hope all is well!! Stay strong in
the One who gives you strength 🙂

p.s. I am healthy now, parasite free! You can be praying for Shannon though, she burned her leg on the mopeds we take from the slums to our compound sometimes…it’s a pretty crazy burn on her leg that got infected. Just prayers for her in healing at a miraculous rate before Haiti! Also prayers that we finish out here in the Dominican Republic strong! I will miss this beautiful country and some of the amazing people I have met! Shout out to our awesome translator Frank. Go change the world with your amazing spirit my friend! 🙂

God bless
