It’s official, I am now a college graduate! AND, we launch July 5th!!
I am thrilled to say the least! From Oregon State University, I now have my Bachelor of Science, degree in political science, with minors in communication and philosophy (with a philosophy and religious studies option). Definitely could not have done it without the love and support of my family and friends. Thank you Zach, Mom and Dad especially!!
I am currently living with my Mom and Dad in Happy Valley until I leave for my trip. It has been good to be home and be able to spend time with family and friend before I take off. Still have all kinds of preparation to do before I leave, but I am getting there. Currently in my account this moment is $10,877 for support raising, which is way above what I thought I was going to be at this point! That isn’t even counting what people have said they will give in the future! Thank you to all of you who have contributed in that, you have blown my mind!! I have until October to get $11,500, and then January to be at $14,300, but with the way people have been so generous, I am not worried in the slightest. God can handle $4,000, He’s already proven that 🙂 I am attempting to raise it all before I leave so I do not have to worry about it while I am gone, but either way I know it will all work out!
Well, it is official, we launch July 5th! We have to be in Fort Lauderdale by 4am on the 5th. If any of you are thinking..that is way to early…I am with you on that one. But hey, that is the nature of the World Race, so I will have my last vanilla chai in hand, and a smile on my face at 4am (no promises for the upbeat personality though 🙂 but I will give it my best!). Since I live on the opposite side of the country, I will be flying out at 12:06pm, on July 4th, and will arrive in Florida at 10:38pm. As I have said to a few people “The day we celebrate our country I will be flying out to leave our country!” Should be a cool show flying over the fireworks!
