The Holiday season is approaching guys and you know what that means, it means that this is my favorite time of year and get excited over everything!!!! This time of the year is my favorite for so many different reasons, so many wonderful traditions, Claymation movies, Starbucks peppermint mochas, having family over, and the decorations that overtake the neighborhood. Plus there is the delicious food everyone loves to eat like pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce.
However this time I am in India, where they put up Christmas lights to celebrate a Hindu holiday and the birth of a savior. There is no cranberry sauce and it is really hot (like I said from the blog before. It’s hot) so it doesn’t feel like its fall or winter at all. This holiday season that is starting now is going to be hard to get through without a few tears, or boughs of homesickness, but I’m trying to remember the reason why I am here, it is kingdom. So here is a list:
- I might now with my family back in the states, but I am with my family in Christ and I have Jesus. That is all I really need.
- I can still be thankful even though my potatoes are in a curry and not mashed.
- I might not be hanging the yearly ornament on the tree or watching a parade, but I will be creating memories to add to my collection for years to come.
- God is here and God is the reason why we celebrate this time of year!!!!
