Earlier this week we had to say goodbye
to Nsoko and all our new friends there. It was sad for everyone those
staying wanted us to stay longer, those of us going questioned why
our time had to be done there. So much had been accomplished in our
month in Nsoko and 12 people leaving can leave a big gap.
However, we leave knowing that God is
still there and working in the people. We had the honor of serving
alongside a great family from Michigan that have given three months
to that area and are praying about moving there permanently. Eric and
Jen have two children, Claire and Jake who are 12 and 10.The
Petersons were such a great support to us and work hard. Along with
the Petersons another couple came to serve for a month their names
are Dan and Leah. Then Brandon is in his mid-twenties lived at the
team house with us for some of the time we were there. He’s from
California and has committed to be there six months. Then on top of
these people are the ministry partners who are Swazi’s being trained
to go to care points and teach the children lessons.
In an hour we drive to Jo’berg where we
will fly back to Atlanta. In Atlanta our team will part ways and fly
home. I will be staying there for a few days to visit with my
teammate from The World Race, Emily and hopefully some others from H
Squad! I’m so excited for this reunion!
When I get home I’d love to catch up
with all of you who want to hear more. Also I’ll be writing a few
more blogs talking more about things we saw in our final days in
Swaziland and our debrief here in South Africa.
Thanks for all your prayers and
encouragement throughout our time in Africa. Please continue to Keep
the ministry partners, Petersons, Dan and Leah, and Brandon in your
prayers.
