Things here in Selapume have been going really well. We are living with a Thai pastor and his wife. The wife’s name is Mae pronounce ma and we call her husband Pastor. They are the sweetest couple ever and are so funny always-making jokes. They love the Lord and their relationship with him is lived out as they are constantly serving people all the time. The location of their house and church, which are kind of combined, is located next to one of the few remaining leper colonies in Thailand. They are very busy as they visit these people a lot and Mae works for Compassion and is very involved in the children’s lives teaching them about the Bible. We have been blessed to see and be a part of the ministry that this couple has. A few nights ago they held an all night prayer service. It was Good Friday and they do this every year. We were all worried, as we had never stayed up for an all night prayer service before. Even though at times is hard to stay awake as it started at 9 when were ready to go to sleep, it was one of my favorite nights. Thank you for praying for us. The service consisted of prayer, worship, sharing and games. The people that came were all ages. There was small children to people probably in their seventies maybe eighties. Getting to worship God with kids sponsored by Compassion and the men and women from the leaper colony is something that I don’t think that I will ever forget. The most hilarious thing of the night was a few time we played games and the punishment for losing the games was having to dance and do motions to a song in front of everyone. Of course I lost both games we played and so I had to get up in front of everyone along with a handful of kids and an elderly women. The woman was having so much fun and it was the cutest thing to see her dancing and having a great time.

We are enjoying are time here and everyday is an adventure as we get to eat Thai food cooked by Mae all the time and never really know exactly what it is. We don’t always know what we will be doing next. Please pray that we love the people that we are around the way that God does and that we can teach the children more and more about God’s love.
