I hope that you had a nice weekend. I enjoyed mine a lot. Yesterday, Sunday, we went to church with Sergei and Marianna and then they walked with us around the city. They showed us some beautiful churches and pretty parks.I enjoyed this time but I couldn’t help but think at various moments during the day how much my family would like seeing what I was. This morning I woke up and felt a little sad as I really miss my family. I think since there is only a month of the race left I have started thinking about them more and more planning what I’m going to do when I get home. I really wanted to be able to give hugs to all my family this morning.
This afternoon we had prayer with the Teen Challenge team. During this time God really encouraged me through some verses reminding me of my purpose not only here but for life. I will probably have many more days like this in the future, especially if God continues to call me overseas away from my family. But really this is such a small price to pay in light of eternity. In this life we will be sad sometimes but one day there will be no more sadness when we are all worshiping the King of the Universe together. It really is an honor  to be able to live for Him and shouldn’t be seen as a burden. So this afternoon this mission and commitment was renewed once again in my heart.

So please read the verses that I read this afternoon and wherever you are whether you too are feeling sad or you are feeling like  you don’t have a purpose. Don’t listen to the lies. God delights in you and is so proud when you reach out and show his love to those around you. It might be a seemingly small thing that He is calling you to do in your mind, but really it could make the difference of where someone spends eternity. So don’t be afraid, take courage reach out to the person God may be putting on your heart right now. Make that phone call to encourage someone, tell the homeless person on the street that God loves them so much. Go out to coffee with that person that just needs someone to listen to them. Pray with the person who doesn’t know if they can go on. Make a meal for a person in need. Whatever is do it as if they were Jesus. These are the moments that mean so much and are at the center of God’s will yet so many of us, including me, let them go by far to often. I hope that you are encouraged.

John 16:33
“These things I have spoken to you , that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

 Matthew 25:40
“And the King will  answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’

I pray you have a good week and keep your eyes open for the opportunities that God place before you to show someone his love! After all showing others his love is what our purpose is.
