Just wanted to let everyone know that I’m in Ukraine. This month is going by super fast. We are so blessed to get to work with a really nice couple whose names are Sergei and Marianna. Sergei and Marianna work with a ministry call Teen Challenge. This ministry is involved in several countries all over the world including the US and helps people to get free from drug and alcohol addictions. It has been such a joy to work with them and see their passion to reach the lost.
Everyday looks a little different as one day a week we go on and outreach to the city and talk and pray with people. Another day we help host a coffee house at a church where people who are struggling with addictions come and participate in discussions and we close out the time with a time of teaching, worship and prayer. Today we go to a children’s center and play and teach kids at an after school program. On Fridays we go to a rehab center and help in leading a Bible study for the men there.
This is what we have been doing in ministry. On our times off we love exploring the city and spending time hanging out. We eat most our meals together and I love this as we really only have a couple more weeks together. Next month Holli is going to be joining a team that is made up of one or two people from each of the teams with the purpose of really growing in worship ministry. We are all happy that she has this opportunity but we will miss her.
