We have a guest lecturer this week who is a worship leader and  He will be challenging us in worship and to think about what it is and how it should look. As we were singing the words of this familiar song, it hit me. Please read the lyrics and as you read them, ask yourself if you really want the things that this song talks about?

I see the King of glory
Coming on the clouds with fire
The whole earth shakes
The whole earth shakes
I see His love and mercy
Washing over all our sin
The people sing
The people sing

Hosanna
Hosanna
Hosanna in the Highest

I see a generation
Rising up to take their place
With selfless faith
With selfless faith
I see a near revival
Stirring as we pray and seek
We’re on our knees
We’re on our knees

Heal my heart and make it clean
Open up my eyes to the things unseen
Show me how to love like You
Have loved me
Break my heart for what breaks Yours
Everything I am for Your Kingdom’s cause
As I walk from earth into eternity

Hosanna written by Hillsong

You see for the past week or so I’ve been thinking about writing a blog and it’s really hard to sum up the transformation that is taking place in my heart and the lessons and ways I’m being challenged here. I think this song really does the job quite well. I’m here because I want to give everything that I am for God’s Kingdom. I want to see this generation on our knees praying for a heart that breaks for the things that God’s does, a love that loves like his, an ability to live in view of eternity and what’s not seen rather then what is. I hope that wherever you are you will join me in this. Let’s be a people that is on our knees and living with everything that we are for God’s Kingdom!
