We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting….

Honestly since I’ve never done more of a long term mission’s trip before I’m not sure what to expect. I hope that I will be stretched in ways that I never thought I would be. I want to see God at work. I’m looking forward to seeing lives being changed by Jesus all around the world. I can’t wait for the change that will take place in my teammates and my life as we are experiencing all these things. I look forward to the rough times that we will get through together as well as the joyful times of celebrating amazing things that are going on. Most of all I look forward to knowing my Savior’s heart more as we fulfill what he has called each of us to do. I want to be a vine that is constantly attached to Him so that much fruit will be seen.

John 15:4

“Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.”

Bring on the tough times, bring on the challenge, bring on the loss of comfort so that I can see my God clearly!
