This last week here in Selapume was really great. In the mornings we would teach kids the Bible and English and in the evenings we played sports with the kids. It has been great getting to know the kids through these things. This last week was a little different as it was Songkraan Festival. This is to celebrate the New Year. This festival is basically like a country wide water/ baby powder fight. People line up on the sides of the streets with large containers of water and sometimes hoses and spray everyone who walk bye and baby powder to put on each face. People also pile in to the backs of trucks with containers of water and squirt guns just to drive around getting people wet. Being that we are pretty much the only foreigners here we were much more of a target. All week long we got soaked which was kind of nice as it is so hot here but at the same time by the end of the week you just want to be dry! We did get to participate in the festivities on the last day as Pastor and Mae drove us around in the back of their truck and the “foreigners” got revenge on the people that had sprayed us all week. We all had a lot of fun with that.

On a more serious note please continue to pray for out time here. On Monday evening we will be traveling with the kids on a bus for about 4 hours to a camp. We aren’t sure what all we will be doing at the camp other than teaching English. Pray that it goes well and we can jump in wherever they need us. We will get back on Thursday. Friday we were told that we will be helping farm in a field. We aren’t quite sure what that exactly will look like. Friday night we will catch the overnight bust to Bangkok that leaves around midnight and gets in at 5 am. That morning we will travel to the airport so that we can get our time that we can stay in this country extended. All of this to say that we have a busy week! Woooo Hooo
