Life is War

We are literally some of the first missionaries to step foot here and it is becoming more evident everyday that Satan is not happy about it. My team is being bombarded. We are hearing lies, we are having crazy freaky nightmares, we are being woken up in the middle of the night… at the same time as others… multiple nights. We are exhausted. Things from our pasts are being brought up… things we have been freed from. Some of our siblings are dreaming about the spiritual warfare going on here. Jessica said the other night that she literally feels like an extra 20 pounds is on her.

This place is dark. 

We had the opportunity to go to Italy this past weekend and as soon as we were out of this country, we felt that weight go off. As freeing as that was, as soon as we got back… it was back. So we as a team have made a commitment to begin each day in prayer, before many of us even get out of our beds. At 9am everyday, our team prays through the armor of God, asks Him to bless and go before us in the day, prays for our eyes to be opened to the war that is being waged around us, and asks for the strength to fight.

The day before yesterday was better. Yesterday was pretty good. Today was rough. We debrief at the end of every night and tonight we learned that there were more crazy nightmares. More lies. More struggles with the past. But just like Satan isn't done,

NEITHER IS GOD.

We are tired of this… quite frankly we are just tired altogether. But tonight we got ticked off. And we prayed. We prayed like we were in a war… because we are in a war. And while we prayed, God's presence filled the room. Steph saw a vision of angels surrounding us. They slammed the doors around us and after they were all shut, we heard the clicking of them locking. 

Satan will not win this month. He will not be able to stop God's work in Albania. God has given me authority and power as His daughter, and I declare that Satan and his demons have absolutely no place here. They are gone in the Name of Jesus- the Name that is above every name. I'm asking you to pray alongside us.

God is stronger, He is bigger, and He will not be defeated. But Satan is working overtime, and we need you to intercede for us. Life is war, and we are fighting in it right now. Please pray for our protection here. Pray that Satan's schemes will have no place. Pray that we will have perseverance to fight, and that we'll continue to daily press into the Lord and seek His face during this time.
