I saved myself about 15 minutes to write this blog. I was going to just wait until I got to Peru but I figured I would at least write some and can expound on it later.
My time in Quito has been more than I could have asked for. I have seen teammates be healed, witnessed a squadmate get baptized in a lake, spoken life into dubs, spoken, with the dubs, life, healing, hope, peace, into Ecuador. I have been poured into by my squad and teammates. I have walked down the street and in .5 seconds gone from smelling yummy food… to poo. I have gone to the equator and to the top of a volcano that overlooks the city (check out my pictures on facebook). As I was sitting on the volcano I asked God to speak into me about specific things. Three people that night approached me with EXACTLY what I asked for. I mean… exactly. It's still crazy that I'm here and that in just three days have already experienced so much. I can't even imagine what the next 11 months hold.
Today my team will go to el Carmen and stay the night with another team, and tomorrow we will head to el Reten for our ministry this month. I think we are doing some VBS and a lot of just pouring into people and showing them Christ. We will be in the middle of a rainforest so your prayers are welcome 🙂 …especially since we learned during our time in Quito that when it rains our rainjackets soak through and get us soaked anyway. Fun times.
I still have about $2,500 left to go aaaand guess what. I'm believing that when I check my support account in four weeks, I will be fully funded. Yup. So be expecting a facebook status update about that.
Pray for continued unity in my team. I seriously could not have asked for a better team (which is great considering I was NOT happy with God at first about where He had me) and I know that Satan will do what he can to break us down. He has no place in my squad OR my team and we would all appreciate your prayers in that.
I guess that's all for now. I will write more about my time here plus my time in el Reten when I get to Peru!
