I feel that to reeaaally keep up with everything that's going on while I'm gone, you need to know my squad. But… let me warn you… they are simply amazing. You might wanna get your fingers ready to subscribe to each of their blogs. They're THAT great. I haven't met a single one of them but already they make me laugh, are there when I want to cry and quit this crazy thing, have ideas of getting tattoos together while we're gone :), are a constant source of encouragement, and I can honestly say they are the ONLY ones that understand the emotions I'm feeling (which may change from one day to the next) and without someone to feel that with me, I may just go craycray.
DRUMROLL PLEASE… THE DDUUUBBB SQQUUUAADD!!!! Yes, you have to click on that to see everyone. No complaining, it's ONE extra click to see ALL of my squad peeps. But joking aside, these are amazing men and women of God. The unity in this group is overwhelming. In our last team blog we decided that allowing anyone from our squad to go home due to insufficient funds is not an option. So once I get fully funded, count on me continuing to try and get support for them. Also, as you pray for me… pray for them. Pray not only for the financial aspect, but that God would prepare ALL of our hearts for this journey. Satan has already started doing what he can to trouble us. Whether it's car problems, family struggles, discouragement in fundraising, or him just straight up telling us the LIE that we will not be able to do this, I assure you that he is hot on our tails.
Just to remind you of the cost: the trip alone is $15,500. We can raise an extra $1,500 to be reimbursed for vaccines, health insurance, and flights to/from training camp and our launch site.
Here is the latest breakdown of where we are (I will keep you updated as I am updated):

30 below the $3,500 training camp deadline (May 21)
30 above the $3,500 mark
5 almost fully funded
Fundraising can be the most discouraging thing. Pray that we will not lose heart in this.

PS: Incase you were wondering, we are aiming to be the first EVER squad FULLY FUNDED (that's $1,085,000) by the time we launch July 1. We are holding on to Matthew 19:26… Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
