Good morning!
I have some news I’d like to share with all of you!
I’m going to Lesvos, Greece to help at a refugee transit point!
The staff here at Adventures in Missions has been keeping a close watch on the refugee crisis and are taking an active role in the relief efforts in Lesvos by re-routing World Race squads to serve at refugee relief checkpoints in Greece. To spearhead World Race alumni participation, the Adventures Fellows (myself and the rest of my cohort) will be serving at a refugee relief tent to bless refugees as they arrive from Turkey. We will also spend time uplifting and encouraging the volunteers, who have been working 12 hours a day, 6 days a week for a couple of months now.
When are we going?
The Fellows will be flying to Lesvos on January 17, 2016 and will be returning to the U.S on February 1, 2016.
How much will it cost?
The trip will cost $17,800 total for all 12 participants. As you are already aware, the Fellows support raise to participate in the Fellowship program. This service trip to Lesvos is an added cost. None of the money raised toward this trip will go to anyone’s individual support account.
How can you help?
Please support our efforts to serve the refugees in Lesvos as part of your giving during this Christmas season. You can donate through our funding page at http://give.adventures.org/campaign.asp?campaignID=1072
When is the deadline to give?
The full cost of the trip needs to be raised no later than December 23, 2015.
Thank you for supporting me and the rest of the Adventures Fellows this year through your donations and prayers. We urgently invite you to partner with us this season to serve the refugees who are making the dangerous journey to a new life. With your help we can be part of God’s plan for healing and redemption in the lives of thousands of refugees!
