Typically, a woman of great courage.
Unashamed to stand for what I believe and able to scream it out
at the top of my lungs on any mountain top.
I sit here convicted.
Convicted of possessing the answer to Life yet at times harboring it within my heart.
Supressing the passion inside when people all around me are…
Hurting
Depressed
Contemplating suicide
Giving away their innocence
Having sex to feel loved
Finding identity in the bottle that’s attached to their lips
Taking frequent trips to the bathroom to gag themselves
Full of hate and no hope
Looking for a daddy
Being abused
Without a purpose
Living in the shame of rape
Paralyzed by fear
Not feeling valued
Taking the lives of innocent babies
Orphaned and left without
Dying of starvation
Homeless
Bullied and made fun of
Confused with their sexuality
But most of all,
Searching.
Needing THE answer.
LONGING FOR THE SONS AND DAUGHTERS OF CHIRST TO REVEAL THEMSELVES.
Sitting here, I’m pressed to do something greater today than what was done yesterday.
If true compassion resides within, action is demanded and not merely recommended.
If Christianity is all about convenience, then how are we different than anyone else in the world?
People of this world don’t need another person to tell them that God loves them, they need someone to demonstrate to them that God loves them.
People of this world don’t need another person to tell them that there is a better way, they need someone to demonstrate to them that there is a better way.
People of this world don’t need people to tell them that they are worthy and valuable, they need people to demonstrate to them that they are worthy and valuable.
People of this world don’t need hear that they have a purpose, they need people to demonstrate to to them that they are worthy and valuable.
PEOPLE OF THIS WORLD DON'T NEED EMPTY WORDS, THEY NEED DEMONSTRATION.
If we are called to be like Christ, we too shall give our best for the sake of someone else.
We should demonstrate through the killing of our own flesh and blood for the redemption, healing, deliverance, freedom, sanctification, wholeness, and life of others.
Can you imagine if Jesus had spoken to all that he was going to die and then three days later rise from the dead, but he never put action to it.
What good would that have done for all humanity?
How would things look today if that were to be the case?
What if Jesus would've stopped when he said, "Lord, let this cup pass from me."
Instead of going on to say, "BUT – – NOT MY WILL BUT YOURS BE DONE."
Through Christ’s demonstration, a way for all who believe was made.
Without it, there would be no hope.
Same goes for us.
Who is on the other side of our obedience and demonstration?
What is the joy that has been set before us that is worth the killing of our own agenda and flesh?
Father, I pray we don't let this cup pass from us, but Lord that your will would be done.
Imagining our world today if we all put this into practice, I can’t even begin to wrap my mind around it.
This is what I want.
This is who I want to be.
This is the life that I want to live.
This is what I want to demonstrate.
If all we have is words then our breath is wasted and our influence is none.
We are called to be not only hearers of the word, but doers of the word.
Hearing is easy. Doing takes time. It takes being lead. It takes being obedient.
The only way that we can demonstrate is through the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 1:5 –
Because our gospel came to you not only in word, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with full conviction. You know what kind of men we proved to be among you for your sake.
Many times, I find myself harboring the Holy Spirit that is begging to come out.
To harbor is to provide protection from wind, waves, and currents.
It also means to conceal, hide; keep in the mind, maintain, and entertain.
Harboring is comfortable. It’s safe. It’s settling. It avoids winds that may happen. It protects.
It entertains the idea but falls into fear, never producing any fruit.
Harboring the Holy Spirit does nothing for us or the people around us.
Harboring forsakes other people’s needs and freedom. Harboring is self-centered.
Harboring isn’t for Christians.
As I sit here compelled to do away with my anchor, I encourage you do the same and allow the Lord to empower you to demonstrate through the power of his Holy Spirit, for the sake of others.
Christ didnt' die for us to Harbor everything that He gave for our avaliability.
Jeremiah 20:9 –
But if I say, “I will not mention his word, or speak anymore in his name,”His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in;
indeed, I cannot.
What a difference we could make.
