Two years ago, I studied abroad in Greece for four months. It was a life-changing opportunity that opened my eyes to a different way of life and nourished my ability to dream. It was beautiful. Another, unexpected result of that trip was that I connected deeply with several far-away friends who I didn’t otherwise interact with regularly.  Multiple people kept up with me through email, blog posts, and pictures. It made me feel incredibly loved and gave me an opportunity to share my journey with others. (Plus, it was just a whole lot of fun!)  I am hoping for that again. I hope that my experiences, stories, and epiphanies will not end with me, but that they will be enjoyed by others too. I am excited to share these stories with you.

With that said, I want to be honest and realistic about communication. Some months, I will have great access to wifi. Other months, I might be quiet for lack of internet. Regardless, my relational connection needs to be first with my team. I want to connect with you. I want to hear your thoughts, your stories, your prayer requests, and your revelations; I want to share mine with you, too! If you email, message, or otherwise communicate with me, you can expect me to respond. Depending on ministry work, the level of busyness/downtime, or simply internet availability, I want to let you know that it may take me up to several weeks to be able to respond. This isn’t because I don’t love you! <3

I am committing to my team to be emotionally present with them in this journey together. That means I won’t be texting, facetiming, emailing, etc. everyday. I will be using those tools to keep in touch with you all, but I don’t want to miss out on what’s in front of me because of these forms of technology.

Thank you for understanding. So, onto the logistics:

The best ways to get in contact with me:

–Download “WhatsApp” to send short messages. It’s a free texting app that uses wifi.

–Email me! [email protected]

–Send me a facebook message

–Subscribe to my blog & post comments at the bottom 🙂

–FaceTime / Skype!

**I will not be able to send or receive calls or texts to my phone (outside of whatsapp), or physical letters/packages while on the field**

So! How about you give it a try? Send me your advice, a prayer, a text, a video of you doing something funny, etc! I greatly appreciate each one of you and the role you have and continue to play in this journey. Thank you!
