Welcome to Malaysia.

Woo, month 11. We arrived after a typical World Race travel day (to include an airplane, a sleepover in the SIngapore airport, a 5am hike to the train station to the bus stop to (barely) catch a 6 hour bus across the border to another walk to a train station to another train to a hike to yet another (delayed) bus to a sprint to the wharf to catch a 1am ferry across the ocean(?) to a 2am march across an island to our home for the month…

So what did the first day look like?

We ate some street food (Penang is known for its food- I've now had a few different types of noodles and celebrated not being forced to have rice).

(this place had some awesome garlic naan!)

We got our initial ministry debrief (I'll be working at the homeless shelter that I am currently residing in– more on that later).

We went to PenHOP.

Oh, you don't know PenHOP?
The Penang House of Prayer?

Don't worry, I didn't either. Basically, it's modeled after IHOP, and we went for an evening of prophetic worship and intercession.

It's always cool to start the month with prayer, but joining in with local Christians who were praying not just for their immediate surroundings but also the world was incredible.

Isn't that what the church is called to do?

So, with only mild diarrhea from the travel days and the street food, minor sleep deprivation from the nights in the airport and the ferry, a belly full of filtered water and the fire of the Lord, I am ready for this month.
The last month.

Go big or go home.
And I can't go home for another 25 days, so I guess it's time to go big.

Prayers will be appreciated. 🙂
