We almost died doing the fitness hike with our packs “half full” of what we brought  (3.3 miles in 50 min, I think). We took cold bucket showers and ate who knows how many different “weird”meals. We had to sleep in our tents in pouring rain  and use porta potties the entire time, including the middle of the night in the pitch dark. It was no joke. Oh, and I kept feeling bad because I would forget everyone’s name all the time (surprise, surprise).

However, here come the good stuff…the strong friendships that started that day, even when I couldn’t remember their names. We laughs because we are MexiCANS and not MexiCANTS. I did my best to dance on stage that one time everyone nominated me. We chanted “M Squad” so everyone knew we where the cool kids in town(but then they all had their chants too by the end of camp). I took a bunch of cool ,candid shots of all my squad mates, you’re welcome!

The amount of prayer and healing I saw within us was also awesome! Some serious change happened in a lot of people’s lives. All of it was and is relationship and comradery that was and is, still being knit together tight enough to last a lifetime. The training ,for me, wasn’t so much what they said in the seminars and the repetition of info but more the “how can I be a better me for the sake of everyone around me?”  and “My poppa in heaven loves ME more then everyone here, no, the entire world! Then how can I love others well?” That is where I was, still am and will probably sit for the next 10 months and hopefully my life. Enjoy, these memories as I get them off my phone to make space for new ones! I love you guys!! Copy and past this link for more pics! Enjoy
