Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you for taking time out of your day to read this letter. I hope it finds you well. Something incredible, amazing, and so humbling has presented itself in my life. I recently applied for an 11 month missions trip, and was accepted! You read that right, 11 months. We will be going to serve in 11 different countries, a different country each month. The name of this mission is, The World Race, through the organization, Adventures in Missions. The countries we will be going to are in this order, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Panama, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Swaziland, Lesotho (a small landlocked country in South Africa), South Africa, China, and Mongolia. God is taking me on a path of self-abandonment. I will be serving the lost and the found. Telling of God’s love, mercy, and Salvation to those who have yet to hear. Teaching, loving, serving, and helping in any and every way I can. I’ve always had a heart for missions as most of you already know. Being able to go, serve and love as Christ and his disciples did, literally leaving everything behind. Leaving with just a 65-liter backpack, containing my tent (that I might be sleeping in for the-majority of the trip), sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothing, and a few other necessities for the entire 11 months. It won’t be easy, but often the path God has for us isn’t going to be easy. And that causes us to fully rely on Him. The Lord has me on a journey, growing closer to Him. A journey to be a part of going into the world to make disciples for Christ. This all has come about so fast, just in the last month. But I have faith that God’s timing is the best timing, so I’m stepping out and trusting the Lord and His divine purpose. My heart is overflowing with joy in anticipation of what the trip will do for so many lives including mine. As I write this my favorite Bible verse comes to mind ~ Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and-not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Could I humbly ask you to help me in a couple of different ways? Firstly, and most importantly I ask you to pray for me leading up to and while on the race. Please pray that I would glorify God in all that I do and say. That those here and abroad will see Christ in and through me. Also, please pray for encouragement when things are tough. Your prayers will be the biggest help! And secondly, I’ll be needing help financially. All racers are required to raise their own financial support. Something I’ve never done. But I trust God to help me through this. The goal for the entire race is $18,017 by January 31st 2018. It covers food, lodging, travel, and insurance. That number is huge, but with God, all things are possible! If God is calling you to give financially, and you would like to be a part of this mission. the second page has all the information you’ll need! The second page also has my blog information, I’m officially a blogger now, please feel free to subscribe and follow me up to and through the trip! Thank you again for reading this, and praying about it =)! Every prayer and financial gift helps!

May the Lord Bless you graciously in all that you do!

                         Sincerely, Naomi Trout    =)
