Halfway. I am halfway through this crazy journey called the World Race. I have learned so much – about myself, about others, about love and most importantly, about God. God is everywhere. God speaks. God is faithful. God is loving. But today, I am overwhelmed with the fact that God is good.
You see, two days ago I was over $2000 away from being fully funded with a deadline at the end of the month. Two days ago I finally got up the nerve to reach out one last time to various people. Then yesterday I spent the day fasting and praying that God would provide the final financial support for our entire squad. I did not look at my support account balance all day.
Today I looked – and was beyond amazed. I am now fully funded! God brought in donations from people I hadn’t even reached out to recently! From the beginning he asked me to trust him to provide and he has. God is so good.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good. His love endures forever.” [Psalm 136:1]
God is the ultimate giver and it is God who deserves the ultimate thanks but friends and family – thank you for allowing God to use you. This journey would not have been the same without the prayers, love, support, and encouragement from all of you. Thank you for believing in me, even when I didn’t always believe in myself. Thank you for covering me in prayer. Thank you for being part of God’s plan to teach me to trust in His provision rather than my own. Thank you for sending me to the world to be the hands and feet of Jesus. Thank you.
