So far I have been so blessed! I am at $1,406.50!! Yay! I also made about $100 from my t-shirt sale. I’m on track to my first goal which is in May. (I will go over the goals later in the blog) I’m so grateful for the support of my friends and family. This isn’t something I could do alone. I am very blessed to have parents that support me. Not everyone does.
It gives me peace to know that I am walking down the path that God wants for me. I have started to spend more time reading my bible. I try to read in the mornings, which is not easy because I’m not a morning person! Lol I love my sleep! I enjoy just curling up with some tea and spending time with God. The other day in the car after I had picked my cat up from the vet I spent about 30 minutes listening to worship music and praying. Praying over everything in my life, family, friends, my trip. I just thanked God for everything he has done so far this these past 3 months. I was teary eyed the whole time I prayed. I’m sure I looked like a crazy person talking to myself in the car! Haha But I had a great time with Jesus, and I love to see his answers to my prayers! It’s crazy how faithful God is when you ask him for what you need and he provides. I think it’s even crazier when you know what the right thing to ask for is. One thing about prayer is God will provide what you need in his timing. But how do you know what you need? You can ask for what you Want, but that doesn’t mean it’s what you Need. For once I feel like my perspective is aligned with God and we both are seeing Eye to Eye on what I Need, and he is being faithful! God is changing the way I look at things. Slowly preparing my heart for the huge reality check I will get what I go overseas. I try not to have a closed minded view of where we live. That can be hard though when we don’t live in the type of environment the rest of the world lives in. I can only prepare myself so much for what I’m going to see and do, the rest is up to God. He has lots to do in my heart, and I’m open for it. I’m starting to enjoy our quiet times more than I did before. (:
I also am grateful not just for the financial support I have been given, but the prayer and emotional support. My whole family is standing by my side. I have lots of people praying for me and my trip. So I just wanted to say thank you (:
Now, as far as deadline goals for funds. I need the listed amounts by the dates below,
- May 13th- $5,000
- July 22nd– $10,000
- September 30th– $13,000
- November 30th-$ 16,961
MY goal is to have most my funds by the time I leave. This is totally possible! I leave in about 8 months. That is plenty of time to raise all that I need.
