A little something that has been on my heart lately.
Recently I have been thinking about what makes me worthy to go to 11 countries and share Gods love. I stop and think about all my flaws, all the things that make me feel like “who am I to go and be an example when I have my own stuff that I am dealing with”. As a Christian I try my best to live like Jesus, yet I fall short all the time. I sin every day. One of the most “popular” reasons a lot of people don’t go to church, or don’t want to be a Christian is because of that famous word, Hypocrisy. So many people look at Christians and are turned away because they see us sin. For some reason they have it in their heads that we think we are perfect so how come we sin, yet turn around and preach about Jesus. Well I will tell you why, because we are human! We are ALL humans that make mistakes. I struggle with things just like everybody else, bitterness, unforgiveness, so I bring it to Jesus daily and ask for his help in guiding me through it. Just because I have struggles doesn’t mean I can’t share the love of Christ. It’s my struggles that breed a testimony of God’s love and forgiveness. I have to stop and realize that I AM worthy to go and minister to people because it’s not ME that is saving them its JESUS who saves! It’s not my job to be the savior, but to bring the news of the savior to the people! I can use my struggles to reflect how God has helped me. So many times I stop and think about if my life reflects the life of Christ. Some parts do, other part, not so much. Which is why I need Jesus. I need Jesus to fill me with joy, to help me turn from sin, to be rock. I think so many of us can feel like we are not worthy of sharing Gods love because we feel that we have stuff in our lives that holds us back. Well my friends that is what Jesus is for. There is a reason people sing “there is freedom in the name of Jesus”.
I just wanted to encourage my friends and supporters that Jesus is always there for you. No matter what is going on in your life. No matter what sins you are dealing with. We are ALL God’s children. We all need his love and he is there to give it. Don’t ever feel like you are unworthy because of things you have done, or things you might be doing. Turning your heart to God in times of struggle or sin is the most rewarding thing you could do. He is our rock, and standing firm in him is how we can live a life that will share his love(:
