Well… that is if I don't meet my final deadline by July 1st… 🙂 I still need about $4,300 in less than two months. I know that amount is nothing to God and He can do it. I’ve already raised over $11,000 and even that blows my mind.
So my team is currently in Kiev, Ukraine after a 27 hour train ride from Bucharest, Romania. We spent the day touring the city since we had an 8 hour layover. Tonight we board another 18 hour train ride to Lugansk, Ukraine, which is just outside the border of Russia. It seems as though each country we go to the culture and language barrier keeps getting more and more different. I used my first squatty potty today!
My team and I will be in Lugansk, Ukraine for three weeks and then our whole squad will head on to Africa! The world race has been such an amazing journey. I never thought at 29 I would be traveling around the world for God. This trip has had it’s challenges but my life has already been radically changed, and I’ve only been gone four months. I can only imagine what kind of person I am going to be at the end of these next 7 months. God is doing so much in me and through me that I don’t want it to end prematurely.
God has called me to this and if He wants me to finish this race, which I believe He does, I know He will provide. If God has laid it on your heart to give or to help out in any way by spreading the word or whatever, please don’t hesitate. God truly blesses us seven-fold when we listen to Him and do what He says.
Just look at me. After putting off something as crazy as the world race for more than a year, I finally went for it, and not only am I here experiencing Ukraine and soon Africa and Asia, but I am becoming a better person. I am discovering more of who I am in Christ, growing stronger at walking in the authority I have in Him. I am experiencing freedom in areas of my life I never thought I’d ever know.
I came on this race not just because God called me to go. I came because I wanted God to change me, to make me a better person. I came on this race to get closer to God. I came on this race because I wanted to see breakthroughs and miracles, not just in my own life but in other people’s lives. And so far I’ve experienced and witnessed ALL of that. But it’s not over yet.
I know there is still so much more God has for me to do and learn in the next 7 countries. I know miraculous things are gonna happen and I don’t wanna miss it!
If you can help me out in any way, whether through prayer or planning a fundraiser, or through finances, I would be sincerely grateful.
Thanks to all of you for following my blogs and my journey out here on the race. It’s been an honor to share with you a part of my life that I’ve often kept to myself. If you have any questions for me or even if you just wanna holla at me, don’t hesitate to send me an email. I’d love to hear from you!
God bless!
