I'm telling you, those kleenex tissues are crazy…but here's something even more crazy; in just a little more than two months time, we've raised over $4,000!!! God is SO good! And to all of my supporters a big….and I mean big, thank you is in order….sooo….

Fundraising is hard work, but admittedly, it's going better than I expected, and to be honest I'm actually having a little fun with it. Had a garage sale this past weekend and raised over $600! Suh-weet, right?? God has been completely faithful, and has been answering my prayers left and right. It's real crazy. One answered prayer in particular – now this might blow your mind a bit so hang on to somethin'…. Last month I set a goal for God (and for myself)… I prayed for God to help me raise $3,000 by August 1st. Well July 31st had rolled around and I still only had about $2,600 overall. I was still trustin' and believin' though, 'cause the day wasn't over yet… That sunday morning I get a call from a really great friend couple of mine. They said they were visiting my church (a random visit mind you) and had something to give me. So I meet them there and they hand me a check…..for $600! I flipped out like a goober with excitement when I saw the amount – just ask my friends who were with me. God just loves to surprise us like that!
So then I had the mary kay party later that day and raised another $240. Tubular!
As cool as all that is though, the fundraising continues… I am still needing a little over $11,000 and I'm now praying for monthly supporters. If any of you – or anyone you might know that is willing/able to donate monthly for a year, that would be awesome! The amount can be entirely up to you. (Though just for fun I did calculate that if 100 people gave just $9.50 a month for 12 months I would be fully funded 😉 You can't even get netflix for that cheap anymore!!)

On August 23rd, CHICK-FIL-A is hosting a Spirit Night for me from 5pm-8pm at the Parmer/IH 35 NB location. Be sure to be hungry that night and get yourself an awesome meal, mention that you are there to support me and 15% of the proceeds will be donated towards my World Race! So, eat more chikin' as an alternative way of support 😉
Also, I am still selling thread of hope bracelets as a way of raising support so if any of you have any ideas on where I could sell them, or if any of you wouldn't mind taking a bundle back to your friends and family or workplaces to sell some for me that would be super awesome! They're just $2 a piece and half of the proceeds go to the families that made them in the Philippines. Plus they're super trendy!
Aaaaaaand, last but not least… I do still need some travel gear from my REI list, my tent especially. (I'll need it for training camp in October) If you would feel more comfortable actually buying something off my registry instead of just donating mula, that would be just as a blessing to me!
