I know a lot of us have worries or anxieties in our lives and sometimes we forget that we can take all of this to the Father. He cares for even our smallest fear because he loves each one of us so much. He wants us to lay our burdens at his feet.
In Philippians 4: 6-8 it says “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and petition and thanksgiving present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally brothers whatever in true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.”
There have been things this month that I have found myself worrying about. I worry about the ministry, my team mates, my future, my family etc. Sometimes I catch myself and I make an effort not to get caught up in it but sometimes I forget that I can take all my worries to God and I get lost in the worry. I know that I need to instead focus on the things that are pure, right, and praise worthy. I can focus on the good stuff like I am blessed with three meals a day and a roof over my head, a wonderful caring family, an amazing team to share this journey with, and the blessing to be in El Salvador today with these children.
