Well after 27 hours of travel we finally arrived in Quito Ecuador.  In one day we saw four different countries.  Needless to say it was a worldwind of a trip.
My first thoughts of Ecuador were ones of wow this place is so cool.  Driving through the capital city in the middle of the night I felt peace.  On our first day we went to the Equator and toured a museum to learn the history of the country and the people, we ate fresh enchilatas and saw the city center on a walking tour.  The buildings are very old mainly built in the 1800’s.  We toured the city by city bus.  This was an experience all in itself.  Packed in like sardines holding on for dear life.  Personal space was not an option. This was even greater of a challenge because we were a group of 50 people.
We found out that tomorrow my team will be leaving for Portoviejo near the coast of Ecuador.  We will be billeted out to church families and working with children living in the dump.
I am excited for this new month and all the things that we will see God do here in Ecuador.  I feel revitalized and energized.  It is amazing to be here.  I am so blessed to be able to experience this.
