Well what can I say about me? This is the most scary and wonderful experience for me to be leading up to going on the world race. If you were to ask any one who knows me if they ever thought I would be the one to leave my whole life behind for 11 months they would probably look at you funny and laugh. Not the girl we know who is so addicted to TV that if she has plans tapes episodes of her favourite shows. Not the girl who can’t go a month without vists to her family to see her adorable nieces and nephew. Not the girl who always has her nails perfectly manicured and hair done nice. Not the girl we know. I guess you can say that God is in control and even though I am a little freaked out I know he has my back. He gave his life for me and if he is asking me to walk away from my great job, cozy little house and all my family and friends for 11 months I will go.
My life in a nutshell:
I am the middle child with two brother’s both are married making me a Aunt three times
I grew up on a farm in Alberta my father was a farmer and my mother a nurse
I went to bible college and then got my diploma in Community Rehabilitation and have worked the past 10 years with adults with developmental disabilities
I am passionate about helping others
I love country music
I love my piano
I am an animal lover
I am addicted to PEPSI
I am proud to be Canadian
Jesus is my lifeline
