Hello dear family, friends, and anyone else stumbling upon my blog!
I am going on the world race! YES, it is finally happening.
A Dream? NOPE. I believe that God loves to satisfy our deepest desires, although it may sound outrageous. If you asked me all of last year what I wanted to do if I had all the time & money in the world, I would respond by saying going on the world race! WHY? Because, there is no greater joy to me than to share the beautiful story of Christ to the people around the world, and to experience how God is working in not just one place, but globally. & it’s finally happening. After wrestling with my own thoughts, heart, and the people closest to me about my choice, I have been accepted & now committed to go!
SO… who am I?
For those of you who know me, and kind of know me, and don’t know me at all… My name is Nancy Chi. Hee-Jin is my Korean name, but not a soul calls me that. My grandma actually decided to name me Nancy after Ronald Regan’s wife. I have NO idea why, but they always called me “NEN-SHE” since they weren’t able to pronounce it correctly. So apart from Nancy, the only nick name I guess I have is nen-she.
This is me! Taken in one of my favorite cities in the world. Florence, Italy.
I just recently turned 24! I still look like i‘m in highschool, but YES I am almost a quarter century old. I was born and raised in San Diego. Pretty much spoiled with the best weather & mexican food EVER.
I studied Psychology at the University of California, San Diego.
However, due to my love for teaching, I actually never did anything with my degree.
Instead I moved to Italy for a couple of months to get my certificate to teach foreigners last year. I’ve also taught English to children in Korea and China during my college summers.

Missions in Korea 2013! Teaching English to these munchkins.
I am currently working as a test engineer at Samsung telecommunication. Yea, I don’t know how that happened ither. But I like to believe that God has a purpose for everything that happens in my life! Although I have no background in engineering, I was blessed to be offered this job the moment I came back to San Diego. One thing I learned from my current job is that… I am NOT meant to work in an office from 9-6… every day… staring at the computer. Don’t get me wrong, this job has many perks to it… but every inkling tells me I was not meant for this.
When I am not at work, I try to make the most of my time by traveling to places nearby, meeting up with my friends and family, and/or bumming it at the beach.
In the end…
I am just an ordinary Christian,
Living for an Extraordinary God.
Going day by day trusting in His sovereignty.
If you would like to know more about me, i‘ll be glad to meet up with you or email me! ([email protected])
