It’s month 11 & it’s almost time to go home. Whoa right? where did time go.

In a blink of an eye i’m here in Zambia. The lights are currently off, the water works whenever the city thinks it’s appropriate and we are cooking our meal on top of coals under the never ending heat. I think back on the year and am amazed at all the places i’ve gone, the people i’ve met, and the lessons that God has stretched me and grown me through. Sometimes I feel like all that has been a dream but God constantly reminds me that everything that has happened is actually real. That I WILL go home knowing more about who God is, who I am, and how he has designed my heart to love the lost.

BUT my blog isn’t about my ending on the race. It’s about that actual ENDING of this life. God has been highlighting His kingdom to me a lot in the bible. What does it mean when we say “Your kingdom come, your will be done?” What does it mean when Jesus says in the parables “the kingdom of God is is like….” or when it says the “kingdom of God is near?” I’ve known parts of what it meant but God wanted me to go deeper.

As I was reading through the book of Acts, the disciples constantly went out and proclaimed that the Kingdom of God was near, and I asked myself why I don’t talk to other people about it & I realized it was because I didn’t think much of it.

BUT you guys…

“REPENT for the kingdom of God is near.”

There are already so so so many signs that this world is in utter chaos. There is uncontrollable brokenness around the world. Children are being sold into slavery, natural disasters happen every other day where thousands of people are effected, and wars against countries and beliefs seem to never end. The things that have been prophecised in the bible are becoming reality. It is true that we do not know when the world is going to end but… the kingdom of God is still very near.

Family & friends that I love so dearly,
we can die at any moment.

We can be in a car accident, a stranger can come into your neighboring market and kill you and tons of innocent people, or we can all die because of the San Andreas fault that can drown all of California. Not just you… but EVERYONE around you that you love. A little too much? I’m sorry, but we don’t realize that the kingdom of God is more near than you can imagine. We live with the idea that life will go on forever but the fact is that we don’t know what tomorrow is going to be like  & if for some reason tomorrow is our day, we will face the King. We will stand in front of Jesus and He will look at you and tell you if you have been a “good and faithful servant” and allow you to enter into His kingdom, or tell us to depart for He “never knew us.”

My hearts desire is for all of you to know that King Jesus gives you the opportunity to accept Him as Your Lord and Savior. That He is already extending out forgiveness for the sins you have made. He already loves you and desires you to have faith & trust in Him. Not only does He wipe away our sins, He adopts us as His sons and daughters. He heals the places that hurt, He gives you joy even when things are difficult, He uses YOU to bring glimpses of Jesus or heaven here on earth, there is hope in Him and above all He is extending eternal life with Him.

It may not be the easiest life
but it is indeed an amazing life.

The end is near…
it really is.

GO, and make disciples & share the good news of the gospel.
