This is the part of my Blog where I ask for your support. Without support, I cannot go on this trip across the world to spread the Word of Jesus to the sick, the suffering, the poor, the hungry, and the broken. Support comes in two different forms:
The first form of support is Financial Support. I do not have the money to fund this amazing mission trip on my own. To go on this trip I must raise $15,500, plus another $785 for international health insurance, plus equipment, clothing, supplies, ect.. For the trip cost and the medical insurance there is a "Support Me" tab on this Blog where you can donate money. I will also be holding some different fundraisers throughout the year which I will announce on the Blog well in advance. For the camping equipment and clothing, ect. there is a link to a wishlist from REI where you have the option of buying some of the things I will need for the trip and it will be shipped strait to me.
The second, most important form of support is Prayer Support. As I prepare for the trip and while I'm on the trip, I am going to be needing a lot of prayer. This trip is going to be an adventure, but it is also going to be a struggle. Eleven months is a long time to be out in the world encountering suffering that we cannot even imagine here in America. I need prayers that I will be strong enough to keep faith through the struggles I will encounter. I need prayers that God will use me as he sees fit to enhance His Kingdom in these other parts of the world. I need prayers that I will stay in good health so that I can be of as much use to God as I possibly can be while I'm gone. I also need prayers that I am able to raise the funds required for the trip.
The words at the top of the page, from a Hillsong United song, are a prayer that I say everyday. I have put my trust in God to take me places I could never go on my own in order to Glorify His Kingdom. His Grace has completely changed my life. My eyes are now open. I can see for the first time. I have asked Him to use me to open the eyes of those less fortunate than me in this life on earth, so that they can live on in Glory in Heaven. You don't have to travel across the world for God to use you too. By partnering with me, you will be helping to bring His Kingdom to places that know nothing but suffering. All I ask is that you pray about this and do whatever God leads you to do.
