Man! I don’t even know how to explain our month since the tract bombing ended. The second night of tract bombing went great by the way. I almost got bit by a huge dog, but besides that everything went smoothly and we were able to cover three more towns.
Anyway, since those crazy nights ended, we have been just hanging out in our little western Chinese mountain town. The month has been filled with climbing mountains to pray, coffee shop evangelism, more noodles than a person should consume in their entire life, living very closely in community, listening prayer, and a lot if adventure. We get up everyday and really have no idea what our day will look like. We seem to have befriended everyone in town who can speak English, and they all want to be our friends. We visit many different restaurants and coffee shops where previous racers have already planted seeds. One of the coffee shop owners, who is Buddhist and studied English under the Dali Lama, told us the other day that Jesus is his friend and told me today that his town needs a Jesus church. That was pretty freakin awesome! Me and the guys have been hanging out with some of the men in town playing pool at night. We even had two Buddhist monks (fully dressed in their pink robes) show up at our door wanting to learn English the other night. All of it has been really crazy, really sporadic, and really stinkin cool.
It’s been a really weird, but obviously Spirit led month. The team has been pressing into listening prayer. They all seem super comfortable with asking for the Spirit to lead them and actually listening for His response. It is apparent in the fruit God has brought out this month. It is hard to evangelize in a country where sharing your faith is against their laws. It takes a lot of trust that God will continue watering any seeds that get planted while we are here. The thing God has been speaking most to me this month is to trust Him with the new friends we will be leaving behind in a few days. He has it all covered. He is sovereign.
The month is winding to an end now. Next week V Squad will be heading to Mongolia where we will embark on all new adventures. Your prayers and support are greatly appreciated. I am still about $1,300 away from being fully funded for this trip. If you would like to partner with me on this journey, there is a “support me” link at the top of this page. God is already doing amazing things and I am completely humbled at the love and support from everyone who is partnering with me in my part. Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. Love Y’all!!!
