How God used the world race to change my life

Hello friends and family!!!!

I have ONE MORE WEEK one the race, crazy crazy. The Lord is so good to allow me to be where i am with my relationship with Him. Soooo this blog is how the world race changed the trajectory of my life completely.

These are ways the race taught be how  to learn about myself and God; the race allowed me to grow and shape who i am with the Lord over the last 9 months.

Cambodia

In Cambodia I learned how to hear the voice of the Lord, and learned to love reading my bible. The key word is learn: as in trial and error. I didn’t feel like pursuing either of these at times, but that is what the Lord blessed: continual pursuit of Him even when I didn’t necessarily want to continue.

Ethiopia

My time in Ethiopia, the Lord allowed me to growing in intimacy and relationship  with himself. This was the most challenging and the most rewarding. The Lord and I sat in beautiful fields of tall grass, and would talk about everything like friends. He brought me through a lot of hard times this way. Hard things meaning memories from my past or current struggles. This brought me so much healing and joy.

Nicaragua

I’m Nicaragua, I began to truly understand my authority being a daughter of God. The Lord allowed me to witness and be apart of His miracles, a beautiful gift that anyone can be apart of. He also taught me how to enjoy His children. I love the people of Nicaragua, I can’t explain how much. I had the best time getting to know the Nicaraguan people and becoming the best of friends.

Costa Rica

In Costa Rica, I learned who Jesus is as my husband. I learned what “He is jealous for me” truly means. He wants my time and my attention not because He a worldy kind of jealous, but because He knows spending time with Him is the best possible thing for me.

The world race gave me the showed me the best gift that God could give: how to hear and know Him in order to have a relationship.

Overlying all of these countries and memories, He taught me thanksgiving/worship, obedience, and faith. These three things are the simplest to understand, but the most challenging to truly do. Through all struggles, thank the Lord and worship Him. Whatever you feel Him telling you to do, be obedient do it. Above all, have faith and trust Him. See what I mean, simple yet challenging. I am so blessed to know these people and learn these things. This is an everyday choice type of thing. Everyday brings challenges, but it’s so important to persevere and sit with the Lord. Thank you to my squad and especially to my teammates for wanting to know and love me. God bless!
