Jeremiah 29:11 says “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”

In this last season of my life I have had nothing but change. My family and I moved to Florida about 6 months ago, and for a while, I felt discouraged, like I didn’t even want to try to make friends when we moved here because I was leaving for the race 11 months later. I just figured I’d work my butt off, then get ready to leave, and if I happened to make friends then cool!

HOWEVER! The Lord’s plans are always always better. Don’t get me wrong, it hasn’t been an easy 6 months, per say, but the Lord took what my family and I thought we needed and made it better. Now, I can only speak for myself, but I feel like I am right where the Lord wants me to be and I just keep feeling that HE KNOWS the plans he has for me. I do not need to worry or stress because he has a better plan mapped out for me than I could ever make for myself.

So what I have realized and learned more than anything in this season is that as long as I am seeking him and keeping my hands and heart wide open to let him have his way, he will continue to put me where he wants me, and because of that I will thrive. I am so excited that I am getting to go on this World Race Gap Year though I have just moved to a new city with new friends. He is keeping me present  with new people who are so supportive and encouraging, while also preparing me for the challenge and adventure I know is to come!! I am super thankful for that.
