Today’s appointed team time is blogging. Our spontaneous creative leader, Amie Beth, decided to throw us a curve ball. We all got a piece of paper and wrote a question or topic and then crumpled it up. Then, we combined all the papers into a hat and drew the topic for our next blog. So I’m sure all of you are probably wondering, what topic did I draw?!

My piece of paper read,
“What has God taught you this month through using your ‘not-so great’ skills?”

I now have 10 minutes in counting, GO!!!!

The first thing that came to my mind is mornings. I definitely CAN be a morning person, on a good day, but in general I need a little bit of time to wake up and desire to have a full blown conversation. On the other hand, lets just say we have some pretty CHIPPER CHATTY KATHY’s on my team in the mornings. My initial thoughts going into this month were settled on the resolution that its okay for me to need my space, my team understands, its morning. But as I am now a week into our month here in Ukraine the Lord has really shown me a different perspective. Yes, sure I can resign to having my space, settling in comfort, and making sure my team respects me. There is nothing wrong with this. But, the Lord doesn’t call us to resign, to settle, and to be sure in and of ourselves. He calls us to persevere, to embrace discomfort, and to walk into the unsure, blindly trusting, allowing Him to be our guide. Even though waking up in the morning letting down my “personal boundary walls” and being willing to be loud, cheery, touchy or whatever is needed by my teammates in the morning is a minimal example, the Lord showed me such a valuable lesson.

I’M DONE!! Fewwff! Okay, I hope you enjoyed this fun blog exercise, because honestly I really enjoyed it 🙂 !!! Thank you for reading my blog and continuing to support me! Love you all! <3
