Do not, I repeat, do NOT have expectations!!! The only way to be disappointed/bitter/not satisfied is to go into a certain environment having prior expectation not be met. I promise you will never know what is coming at ya and it’s better to roll with the punches rather than try to change your environment to how you want it.
Pray constantly. For your teammates, your leaders, the people you will come in contact with, etc. Cover everything in prayer & in love ALWAYS.
Have a servants heart. Be willing and ready to do the uncomfortable and help out in whatever way needed. Be helpful, not a burden. Wherever you are make sure you are being proactive and not reactive!
FORGIVE. People sin. Your teammates will hurt you, your leaders will let you down; it’s all inevitable. But you must be willing to forgive and show grace to people whether they ask for it or not!
