Month 3 has arrived and we are in our final weeks in the beauty that has been Africa. I am in love with this part of the world and I am so thankful for the time I have gotten to spend here.

We have been in Lomé, Togo for almost a week now and it has been jam packed. Our days have been busy, but have been filled with goodness.

We are the first World Race Squad to go to Togo and that has been such a blessing. We are working with people from a few different organizations (that are all partnering together).

There are two WR teams together at our ministry location this month: my team and TK. We have been split into a combination of six groups, and each person is on three teams. Teams 1-3 are a combination of C3 and TK (I am on team 3). Teams 4 & 5 are C3 and TK themselves and then team 6 is all of us together.

This month, we are doing children’s ministry, youth ministry, young adult ministry and women’s ministry.

On Wednesday, Team 3 got to go to two different schools. We started off going to a school that we had gone to on Monday and I got to teach the same classroom that I taught Monday morning. It was awesome to be back in the same classroom because one of the things I had been praying for during the first few days of the month was consistency (another story for another time).

At our next school, we got the opportunity to talk to high school students in three or four different classes. I got to share about 1 Timothy 4:12 and how they have the ability to influence those around them even though they are young.

After going to the classrooms, we got to speak to the Christian Fellowship that meets at the school. These students meet regularly to learn about scripture and to worship together. I shared a similar message to what I had shared before and then we opened up the floor for a time of Q & A with our team. The questions ranged anywhere from “tell me more about the World Race” to “do you have children/when will you have children?” and “how can I be a model to those around me?” It was such a fun experience to be able to speak to students that I have such a passion for.

I can’t wait to see what the rest of this month looks like and to continue to share that with you!
