We are now a week into Month 9 in Chile, and it’s time for a few highlights from our time in Mendoza, Argentina!

  1. We slept, cooked and everything else in the church we were working with.
  2. I rode in a hot air balloon!
  3. We did door-to-door ministry on a regular basis, where we invited people to church.
  4. Mendoza is one of the cutest little towns I’ve ever been in!
  5. The entire team shared our testimonies during church throughout the month.
  6. We walked two and a half miles in one direction to get to Starbucks pretty regularly.
  7. Some of the people we met in door-to-door ministry started coming to the church!
  8. I went on a horseback riding wine tour through the mountains and saw two volcanos!
  9. We did children’s outreach programs every Saturday.
  10. The weather in Mendoza was the coldest we’ve had the entire Race.
  11. We went to the hot springs!
  12. Our host family was the sweetest and that was one of the harder goodbyes on the Race.
  13. The team played cards all the time.
  14. DJ and I prayed for and talked to a homeless woman on our way to Starbucks one day (ministry is possible even when it isn’t scheduled ministry time).
  15. I started learning sign language.
  16. We had cockroaches climbing out of the floor of the church on one of the last nights – it was quite an adventure!
  17. The church wanted me to stay in Mendoza because they loved my testimony so much.
  18. The mountains around the city were beautiful.
  19. We got a ton of rest throughout the month.

Stay tuned for more coming soon!
