21 Highlights from Indonesia

I am now 3/4 of my way through my time in Asia, and we are heading to the Philippines late tonight! Here are some highlights from our month in Indonesia with some help from my team!

1. I lived in a tree house!
2. I showered in the river!
3. We celebrated my birthday in Makassar!
4. I went to the hot springs.
5. I learned that I never want to be famous. I couldn’t handle the pictures and everyone looking at me all the time.
6. Indonesia has a huge sense of community where everyone is included in everything (Jessie).
7. I came into this month with a new team!
8. I got to go to a chocolate factory.
9. I washed my dishes in the river.
10. We have had a ton of coffee all the time (Jessie).
11. I lived in the tree house with anywhere from 4-10 men every night.
12. We camped in the mountains of Masamba!
13. We hiked up and down a muddy mountain.
14. I drank black coffee!
15. I had my picture taken at least 50 times a day.
16. This month was full of once in a lifetime experiences! (DJ)
17. We ate tons of rice and potatoes.
18. I got to see how palm sugar is made.
19. My team got to see Toy Story 4! Don’t worry, I cried in the theater.
20. We just finished debrief in Bali!
21. We had Squad Christmas at Debrief and it was the greatest!
