“In the crushing, in the pressing, You are making new wine. In the soil I now surrender, You are breaking new ground. So I yield to You and to your careful hand, when I trust You I don’t need to understand. Make me your vessel, make me an offering, make me whatever You want me to be. I came here with nothing, but all You have given me, Jesus bring new wine out of me.”
Below is a squad that is currently in a season of crushing. In the past month & a half, God has brought so much individual revelation and transformation into each of our lives. One month. It feels like several months have gone by since leaving home, not just one, because of all the Lord has done. X-Squad is in a season of all the things we’ve been defined by in our past being crushed, pressing into the emotional and spiritual wounds, and the Lord is making new wine.
“We can all draw close to him with the veil removed from our faces. And with no veil we all become like mirrors who brightly reflect the glory of the Lord Jesus. We are being transfigured into his very image as we move from one brighter level of glory to another. And this glorious transfiguration comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.” – 2 Corinthians 3:18 TPT
The Lord is fulfilling that promise. That we are moving from one brighter level of glory to the next. X-Squad is starting to look a lot like Jesus. He’s changing our hearts and showing us how to reflect more of His character. The kingdom inside of us cannot be crushed, but what isn’t ours in Christ is what God is crushing.
In a recent email that sparked this blog idea, one of our team leaders, Aidyn, said these words: “This is a season of growing pains. There’s pain – things aren’t going to be the way they’ve always been. There’s hope – things aren’t going to be the way they’ve always been.”
I want to take the time this week to acknowledge the making of new wine in this squad.

Gel, the Father has brought you into spiritual sonship. I have watched you come step into intentionality with Father, and it overflows onto the squad. You have truly became a daughter of the King and you come before Him daily in surrender. You look a lot more like Jesus, it’s the freedom you’ve found in Him.
Jacob,
Jenay, the Lord has taught you how to sing an anthem that glorifies Him in the midst of hardship. You raise a hallelujah in the midst of storms. As you fight for the Kingdom with your voice, the Kingdom comes to fight for you and darkness flees because it has no choice. You look a lot more like Jesus, it’s the joyous anthem you carry within.
Kate, the Creator is using your story to impact others. You allow Him to give you the words to say and the courage to share them. I’ve watched you step into the gift of storytelling He has given you through this blogging platform and let God use that transparency to shine His light into the darkness. You look a lot more like Jesus, it’s the boldness you live with.
