Hey friends!! WE ARE HERE!!!!! wow, I’ve been looking forward to saying that for a long time. It feels so good! We have been here in Jaco, Costa Rica for about 6 days now and each day has been unique. This beautiful place is slowly starting to feel like home and I wouldn’t want it any other way. I catch myself standing in awe and saying “God you are way too kind!” His blessings are abundant. Coming into this trip one of the biggest things I prayed for was community, community fills me up and keeps me awake to what the Lord is doing. God heard me and blessed me with over 50 people that I get to do ministry with and live with. Here at Oceansedge, our ministry base, the Lord has blessed my squad with an 11 n 11 squad. At first that overwhelmed me but now I see it as the sweetest blessing. The 11 n 11 team is intentional about getting to know us, speaking life into us, and reminding us that we aren’t alone on the hard days. I am thankful for the life long friendships that are just starting to bloom and excited to watch them grow. These past few days have been amazing, but there has also been hard days, days that are sweaty, dirty, and hot. Days where I miss home or feel inadequate. But each time those days creep in the Lord always finds space to remind me that His hands are always open, all I have to do is reach for it and let go of the things holding me back from digging deeper. There are so many ways the Holy Spirit shows up, whether that be through the people, sunsets at the beach, walking on the main strip, our ministry of painting the mural in the park, or worship with our squad. He moves like a mighty wind and falls fresh like ice cold water. He cleanses my soul. Even when my heart feels dirty, less than, or worn out, I CAN STILL PRAISE HIM. Gracious and kind is our Father.
Prayer requests:
-courage to let go of the things holding me back from digging deeper
-bravery to be BOLD
-my team to continue to unite as one, lifting each other up
-safety and protection
