As I sit in my seat on our Air Asia flight from Indonesia to Malaysia, I’ve got Hillsong’s Wonder album playing in my ear and I’m watching the land beneath me turn into ocean from thousands of miles in the air. Until next time, Bali.. until next time Indonesia.. until next time little ones from our village.. until next time Balinese friends.. until next time Alfa Mart.. until next time beach villages, nasi goreng and durian fruit (no I did NOT like it).

Next time it will be a new country and a new goodbye. Next time it will be a new set of memories. Next time it will be new faces, new stories, new hosts.. next time – but also, next time it will be less of Morgan. Next time it will be less of my flesh taking over. This month was one of the hardest of my life, but next time? It will be easier. Next time I won’t complain about the heat (too much haha) but I will thank God for the gift of His breezes, next I won’t make my focus about missing home, but I’ll thank JESUS I’ll be changed when I return. Next time I won’t be so hard on myself to do everything perfectly or to make everyone happy. Next time I won’t be so focused on my insecurities, but rather remember Jesus created me in His image and I am His daughter. Next time I won’t wait for the opportunities to share Jesus to come to me, but I’ll be BOLD. I’ll seek them out. Next time.

Next time, it will be different and new. Next time there will be a new set of challenges, obstacles, hard days. Next time there will be the highest highs and the most beautiful moments and fits of laughter. Next time. So… until next time.
