The time has finally come to dive into the great adventure that is the World Race. Over the last few years, the Lord placed on my heart the desire to serve Him among the nations, and in the last several months I have been working towards that calling. There was such peace in deciding to go, but the last few months were a testament that we live in a world where hearing His call and answering it is difficult. I was challenged with fundraising over $16,000, re-acclimatizing myself to living at home after another year on the road for my consulting job with Pi Phi all the while preparing to say goodbye to loved ones. I was tempted to what feels like the “easier” path – Staying at home.

Choosing to go on the World Race meant stepping out of my comfort zone and asking for support, financially and spiritually. Choosing to go on the World Race meant that I couldn’t get caught up in the dreams of living in one place for more than three months and avoiding the “home goods” section at Target. Choosing to go on the World Race meant that I would be missing big moments in loved ones lives – birthdays, holidays, firsts (marriage, babies, etc). But what trumps the rest is that in choosing to go on the World Race, I am saying “Yes” to my Father, whose love for me and my life is immeasurable. I’m saying “Yes” to diving deeper into a relationship with Him and to see His plan for my life unfold…

And so I toss away the temptation to stay because I know that He desires us to live in community.

He desires that we focus on more than the goods and comforts of this earth.

He desires us to cherish all moments together, not just the big ones.

He desires to be our first priority, because when we get our priorities straight, He shows up in a big way.

As I prepare to go out into the world, please continue to pray for me and my squad. We’re as ready as you can get for the unknown and we’re ready to see God show up in BIG ways…are you??

Many blessings to you,
