Well, we’ve wrapped up our time in Rio Azul this past week and it was filled with hellos and goodbyes. I was able to see my Ministry host from Lesotho and celebrate a birthday with her family (Addie, her daughter, turned 8!). We went to Beauty and the Beast and had dinner – What a blessing it was to see them again!
The weekend was busy with church activities, Monday was my last day of construction and Tuesday, our squad leader Matt and I went to debrief to set up our location and recharge before four days of sessions and meetings. The rest of RITz stayed and FINISHED THE HOUSE!!! They worked hard and were able to leave Everesto with quite the gift. They joined us at debrief yesterday and we celebrated Alicia’s birthday last night with dinner.
It was such a cool month in Rio Azul. The community loved us so well and I left a piece of my heart there with them. Next, we’ll be flying to Jamaica on the 28th…only three more months on the Race and I’m set to see them be the best ones yet!
