Hi pals! Prepare for a bit of an information overload! I’ll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible but no promises!

I can barely contain this excitement inside me any longer, just so many things to tell you! You don’t want to miss this, or maybe you do, but either way you’ll be missing out— so don’t fall asleep on me.

OK, I am kind of wrecked but in a good way (wrecked = an intense kind of mind-blown type feeling)! It’s month 10, y’all! Whoa! MONTH 10! How can it be? I have less than 2 months of this journey before me. It’s bitterswe— I’ll pick my jaw off the table now so I can share why.

So, first things first, we got team changes! Bittersweet, again. (Fun fact, Paige and I haven’t been apart in 9 whole months. I am sure you can only imagine how weird this is for us.) I can’t be too sad because I have a pretty sweet new team! It’s a group of some of the most passionate, God-seeking humans I know and I am super pumped to spend time in their space. We call ourselves FINE CHINA! Meet the goobers I endured 42 gruly hours on a bus with. That was just the beginning of our next few weeks together. (Quick, hop over to Facebook to read about our fun travel experience. It’s worth the laughter if not anything else!)

Faces of people who have no clue what the next leg of travel will bring. hahaha

That time we lived on a bus for 42 hours straight.

Wow! Never been more thankful for showers, space to stretch our legs, and beds that don’t require you to sleep in the fetal position.

Our team name leads me into my next point. Route change! Throwback to the beginning of month 7 when our leadership presented to our squad this vision of pioneering a route from Vietnam into China for the racers who come behind us. This trip into China isn’t for funzies (fun) or to get another stamp into our passports. We were told that we would be doing the work, making the plan, looking for something more rather than just taking what’s in front of us. This was an incredible opportunity to follow our passions, to explore outside the box, and leap into the unknown (cool things happen in the unknown. Let me tell you, I’ve lived 9 months of that and I want more.) This wasn’t to be an impulsive decision, it was meant to be a decision founded on prayer. So, after much prayer it was a pretty clear which path the Lord was highlighting for me. Not to say, it was an easy decision.

Where am I now? Well, those five other humans and I felt the urge to pursue the more, to go deeper, to go outside of the box, to travel to China. So, Fine China is currently in Hanoi, Vietnam (way north, super close to China). Our time here is spent applying for visas and preparing to cross the border into new land. It hasn’t been a journey for the faint of heart, to say the least (again, check out our travels on Facebook), but we gladly accepted the challenge and we are anticipating really amazing things to come. We would appreciate prayers for the visa application process and over all our time in China.

For all my faithful followers, I have a few things for you:

  1. Password protected blog. The password is finechinababy. I am entering a region that requires me to be careful with my words (no need to be afraid, God is a pretty great Father and he is the best at protecting his children). Just enter the password and continue exploring all God is doing in and through me.

  2. Communication will be limited. Not too sure what that will look like, but if it’s urgent, if you just want to say you love me, or you have concerns- email me at [email protected]. PLEASE fill in characters so words can’t be flagged (G0D with a zero, m!ssion, pr@yer, JC, etc.) Thank you for enduring the complication of communicating with me. You are the best.

  3. Bye bye Facebook. I’ll be disabling it for the month. Don’t worry, I’ll give all the updates and pictures after May 28th or so. Pass along updates and share the password with your friends.

So, yeah, I am so pumped to bring Kingdom, build relationships, and marvel at God’s creation in yet another part of the globe. Love all of you! Thanks for making it to the end. 🙂
