My birthday has always been a little hard for me. The feelings of comparison and disappointment are usually something that I struggle with during that time. God knows this and as I’ve been praying on the Race for God to show me who I am in Him, He gave me this gift.

Our ministry host this month surprised us with the opportunity to spend 3 days in Greece at the beginning of our month here in Romania, and little did he know that that would mean that I’d get to spend my 22nd birthday in Greece!

It could be easy to look at this as a coincidence and just say that we were able to go that weekend because it was when the weather was nicest, or because it worked out best with out ministry schedule, but God made it clear that this was His will and His gift especially for me.

In a way that I cannot explain, other than the Holy Spirit, God gave me a sense of overwhelming joy and contentment on my birthday. As we were driving through Bulgaria to Greece, God opened my eyes to His creation and as I looked around at the mountains and the beaches we passed, it felt like I was seeing mountains and beaches for the first time, and it was breathtaking. God gave me new eyes to see His heart.

This past weekend God showed me that I am a loved and cherished daughter and He confirmed even more the identity that He is giving me in Himself. My father knows what I need, and He cares enough to meet those needs, even if they seem small.

My 22nd birthday is one that I can’t imagine that I’ll ever forget. I am thankful for a God who sees me and loves me, and for a Father that gives good gifts to His children.

Thank you all for your birthday wishes, I have been renewed beyond my wildest expectation. Here are some photos from my time in Greece, I hope y’all enjoy!

Much Love,

Morgan
