When I was trying to gather things to take on the race I looked to other blogs by racers to give me ideas of what I needed. So I wanted to do the same for future racers and to give you all an idea of what all I am taking with me on this 11 month journey.
Thank you to my best friend Bekah for taking time off work and coming over 2 different times to help me pack my bags. Packing my life into one 60 Liter pack and a school book bag makes me realize that I have way to much stuff. My room is still full of stuff and my closet is still full. Why do I have so much junk? This trip is about abandonment. Abandoning most of the comforts of home to fully embrace what God has in store for you. I am taking some comforts from home, but packing and repacking for this trip really pushed me. I always overpack for trips, so only taking 7 pairs of pants for 11 months was really hard for me to do. Packing was a lesson from God in itself. He taught me that I don’t need all the material things of this world. I only need to rely on Him to fulfill my needs!
Anyways, here is my packing list for the World Race.
